Madden 2003 on Modern Computers?

I just picked up Madden 2003 for nostalgia reasons, and whenever I try to start the game itself, nothing happens. Mainapp.exe similarly does nothing. I'm running windows 10, but it also does nothing in compatibility mode. The launcher and patcher work just fine...

Any advice would be very appreciated. Thanks!

I have no idea what that is, actually. I'll look it up!

Also, when looking at system requirements, the one part that is not met is the CPU speed, which gives a negative number for some reason.

And if you have a multicore cpu the game may see that as too low of a cpu speed i have seen it in other older games back before multicore processors were common...
