Realistic Injuries

Postby Shelby » Thu Sep 17, 2020 11:08 am

I play a CPU vs. CPU sim league and have never had realistic injuries, one year I lowered LB Jonathan Vilma's injury to 25 and he played all 16 games. I have a ton more examples, but a 15? He should have been hurt more.

Could someone help?

My Injury slider is set at 102/102.

Try increasing the sim injuries above 115-120. You'll have to adjust it above 102 until you see satisfactory results. It goes up to 200, your 102 is basically a 52% chance of injury which is low! Give it some juice!

Thanks! I will try. This past week's 12 games produced 13 injuries. I'm good with the number of injuries if it were to stay the same or even increased by 10%-20%, but my issue is with the injuries at different positions. We hardly ever get OL or DL injuries. We are comfortable with:

QB currently fine with # of injuries
HB/FB currently fine with # of injuries
WR/TE currently fine with # of injuries
OL Very very low, usually only 1-2 for all 24 teams per season
DL Very very low, usually only 1-2 for all 24 teams per season
LB Low but not bothersome
DB High, safeties get hurt a lot, CBs seem appropriate

I have my injuries set at 116 and I have had great results. A lot of players spend time on the bench during a game, but do not miss weeks at a time for small injuries. The back lash is when your star players get knocked out with no idea when they are coming back in the game

Do you think if I change my injury slider to 116 we will get more DL & OL injuries or just more injuries overall? I want to be more realistic.

I put my in-game at 102 and sim at 98 (so basically 98 for computer and 102 for me).
But I still hardly get many injuries.

Thanks for reminding me to up it a bit - I only recently started playing with it.
