Re: Jose21crisis' Classic (Player vs. AI) Sliders
Well, apparently the original sliders work better for Coach Mode and CPU vs. CPU, whereas the sliders I'm using now, work better for Player vs. CPU Classic Mode. I'll update the OP with that.
Ok, so ... the Jacksonville Jaguars. The team that turned out to be pretty damn good this year and made the playoffs, ending that 10 year drought and in real life completely destroyed the Steelers ... we could be in trouble.
And now included is the Box Score
This is basically a "What if the Steelers played as they played against the Titans, but on Week 5". This game was too damn close through the whole thing. My main issue with the Jags wasn't their defense, because I have the most OP play in the game for necesary 3rd downs (From the NE Off Playbook. Shotgun - Empty Tray Stack: Strong Overload, The Flanker on the right side (Which on my Depth Chart is Darrius Heyward-Bey) does a Flag route after 10 yards and 95% of the time he is left alone and wide open. A high pass nets a 20 yard gain at least. If he doesn't forget his hands in the locker room) and could run them over if needed. It wasn't their pass offense (Which was pretty good, Bortles could handle the pressure I brought on him). It was freaking Leonard Fournette
206 Yards and a 75 yard run as his longest run. Also 2 TDs. He ran up and down the field and even though we brought the blitz to his face he simply dodged it and kept going.
The best way to show you why he's probably the most OP HB in the game (After Le'Veon Bell that is, only that Bell likes to fumble) is this video.
On the 5:03 mark, look at HB Joseph Addai and you will pretty much understand what Fournette did. 5:43 for a repeat.
Anyway, they actually managed to comeback on the fourth, only for me to put the game away. On my last drive, after Antonio Brown, clutch receiver, forgot his hands at the bench during the 2 min warning, I ran a Direct Snap to my Fullback on 4th down for the single reason to keep the drive alive (it was at midfield and I had a 1 TD advantage.) It was a great game all in all.

Re: Jose21crisis' Classic (Player vs. AI) Sliders
So, had probably one of the most epic games ever played with a downright epic ending. I decided to sim the rest of the season to get to the playoffs, but stopped the sim right at Week 15. You know, Patriots at Steelers. The one that demonstrated that the "Catch rule" is an inconsistent piece of crap. That's a discussion for another day though. So this game was basically "What if: Ryan Shazier wasn't injured and Antonio Brown made it through the game without getting injured".
I'll post the Box score later, I'm going to build some hype first.
So, first quarter of play, we exchange punts. On our second drive, Big Ben connects with Le'Veon Bell for a TD halfway through the quarter.
Second quarter, we manage to drive down the field to give Chris Boswell a field goal to his stats. Then comes Brady, doing what he does best, he throws a TD pass after one of my corners got burned and my safety was occupied with the Gronk. After that, we keep battling it out ntil the Pats manage to get in FG range and Gostkowski punches one through the uprights. We drive and do exactly the same thing with Boswell during the 2 min drill. The Pats do the same a drive and punch another FG. I tried to throw a Hail Mary ... but fell short.
Third quarter, Big Ben tries to throw the ball away, but gets hit an the ball ended on David Harris' hands. They manage to drive down the field and give Gostkowski another FG. We drive and do the same with Boswell. That's about it.
Fourth Quarter, Brady gets another long TD pass and now we are down. So we try to drive down the field and get back up. We just manage an FG. We stop the Pats. We try to drive down the field ... but fail. We punt and stops the Pats AGAIN, but we burned every one of the timeouts. They punt, and we proceed to drive. Unfortunately it wasn't as easy as the Steelers did on the real game. We took a whole minute getting to the red zone. So I'm basically in the same situation as the Steelers, only that I NEED a TD, otherwise, it's over. We manage to get to the 2 yard line, but Xavier Grimble couldn't get out of bounds and there were 10 secs on the clock. So I hurry everyone back to the line for a spike (Not a fake spike, mind you) and something similar to this happened.
So, time to think. On one hand, I could try a classic of many teams, a fade route to the back of the endzone. The problem is, the fade route is garbage, needs an elite QB, I have one in Big Ben, an elite WR, which I have in Antonio Brown and a cornerback which is a bad as a potato, which NE doesn't have. All fo them are good. And AB was tired due to my no-huddle drive, I had the backup TE playing in there because my WRs were tired. Also, I don't know how I'm suppossed to throw the fade. The fade only works in the Madden NFL 16 intro, or when you have Calvin "megatron" Johnson on the team. On the other hand, I could use a running play, but the Pats had managed to prevent Le'Veon Bell from obtaining more than 100 yards on the game, and kept my running average to 2.4 Yards. Worse yet, Le'Veon was Tired too, so I only had the backup HB, James Conner. He isn't bad, just underrated.
In the end I decided for a sweep. Specifically, the "I Form - Jumbo (Or the Goal Line formation, if you prefer) - Strong Toss". That was my go-to play on the Goalline, mostly because running up the middle in the goalline in Madden 08 is nigh-impossible, no holes. There was only one play that could prevent my trip to the end zone. And the Pats called it. It is "Goal Line - Gaps Fire", in which the corners stay on the outside and then blitz in. I had to face a cornerback, going full speed towards Conner's face. I decided to go with it (Had no way to call anything else anyway). So I snap the ball, Conner gets the ball, runs a cornerback over, is tackled by a linebacker and ... well ...
... He gets away from the tackle and gets into the endzone and gets the win.

------------------------------------------------------------
I'll post the Box score later, I'm going to build some hype first.
So I snap the ball, Conner gets the ball, runs a cornerback over, is tackled by a linebacker and ... well ...

I'll probably do a journal after finishing this season, same recaps, but with images. And maybe (just maybe) one or two GIFs.

------------------------------------------------------------
Thanks Jose21 for these sliders, this is my first game with them and this is closest to perfect i got. Still i think i will change a couple of things but at least i know where to start from. Just so everybody knows i pretty good on All-Pro but i suck at All Madden so i'm trying to find some kind of middle. As far as this game goes, stats on offense are close to accurate, at least the running game is. Passing was ok but a bit to much yardage for my taste from Big Ben, all though there was one huge play when i went for a blitz that got picked up and then AB burned me for 91 yards. I thought that there was small amount of sacks but when i compared it to the real games, in the first one Ravens had 1 and in the second one the Steelers had 1 so i will play a couple of more games to get some kind of conclusion.

------------------------------------------------------------
OK now I'm definitely going to chance something. I know the Giants are bad but this but they aren't lol When I look at the stats they don't look that bad considering how the game went. Basically I was dominating for 3 quarters and then in two drives I ruined everything. Giants started great and went all the way to the End Zone on the first drive where they got INT, after that I scored a FG and made a TD from a strip sack (the only sack which is the problem for me so far, I just can't get to the QB). After that I basically ran almost every play trying to be conservative and waste time and on defence playing a lot of prevent which you can see on the stats also. But then I did the same stupid mistake I did in the last game, I tried to pressure the Giants and force a safety by blitzing which in the end turned into a 90+ yard from OBJ, after that game went downhill but somehow managed to control and win. I think everything would be better if I start playing 12 min quarters but I don't want to, I wanna try to find the right setup for 15 min.

I think everything would be better if I start playing 12 min quarters but I don't want to, I wanna try to find the right setup for 15 min.
That's a little problem the game has, the AI team can either be very good from the start, or be just stupid until the 4th quarter. When I get a HUGE lead by the end of the first half I just quit the game and then do it again. It usually adjusts the AI to something that can actually fight back. That happened in the game I did against the Pats, first time I picked off Brady like 3 times, I restarted the game, and the dramatic game that resultd ended up posted.
As for the sacks, I actually felt that the QBs (Specially player controlled) are under too much pressure. Witht he original set of sliders, which had Pass Blocking at 19, there were time in which the O-Line simply vanished. Also, I fully embraced the fact that I play as Blitzburg, and I play a lot of Zone Blitz (Cover 3 shell, 5 rushers, 3 in shallow coverage) and that gets me a good amount of sacks. Just look at the game against the Ravens I did a few posts ago. If you think the pass protection is way too high, you can lower it. Most sliders setups work as a reference. Lowering Pass Blocking by 10 or 20 points should do.
Glad you enjoyed the sliders

Re: Jose21crisis' Classic (Player vs. AI) Sliders
All right, Happy New Year everyone, I got some new tests.
This is the Divisional round against the Broncos. I liked this game a fair bit.
The Broncos striked first with a Field Goal. We striked back and scored a TD, but failed the extra point ... lacked power.
Then we hit again in the second quarter, and again, missed the XP. I hate the kicking meter, and I'll probably get me a controller at some point in the future. Any way, they score 2 field goals, we get one.
Next quarter, we get a TD and score the extra point.
Last quarter, the Broncos manage to get a TD and stop me with 5 mins remaining. Which was pretty scary. They managed to drive down the field and score another TD ... but got taken down thanks to a penalty (At least I'm not the only one that has to suffer the penalties taking away big gains). They try to get in again, but failed. It should be noted that they called for a play action pass ... on 4th and 12 ... when I sent a blitz. Turnover on down, run out the clock, go to the conference championship.
Next game is against the Bills (Believe it or not, they knocked out the 14-2 Patriots .... THE FREAKING PATRIOTS ... Simply not possible, I don't care this is Madden or that they had McCoy. Simply not possible), then the SuperBowl is against the Eagles. But I think I'll leave that franchise as it is and actually start the Journal.

Game Log Ends
------------------------------------------------------------
This is the Divisional round against the Broncos.

Re: Jose21crisis' Classic (Player vs. AI) Sliders
Boy these great sliders I played entire season with my Dolphins but with Ryan Tannehill as QB not Cutler. He threw 4,368 yards 28 TDS 9 INTS
Kenyan Drake had a stellar year 1,145 yards and 7 RTD's so did Juice and DVP. Fasano had a better year than Thomas.
My only losses were @ Pats 27 - 17, Saints 38 - 23, @ Ravens 26 - 21, @ Panthers 34 - 13, Raiders OT 34 - 28. I went 11-5 sweeping the Jills and Yets and splitting with Pats. Winning at home on MNF 29 - 28 with 41 yard FG by Parkey with :11 seconds left. It was an epic battle with the computer.
I am now in the playoffs. The Pats went 13 - 3 like real life. We captured the 5 seed we are playing the Chargers.
I love your sliders. I have never won more than 10 games on All-Madden but, I like to challenge myself because All-Pro is too easy. It feels good I can actually beat the AI a bit.
Thanks Jose, I am impressed.
