Why can't I use accelerated clock for superstar?

I want to use accelerated clock for my superstar but it won't let me. I changed the setting on the main menu to ON to see if it would work but it didn't. Why?

The accelerated clock will only work when you are controlling the players. Either user control the team when you're not playing, or deal with it.

If that isn't your issue, make sure it's turned on in the Superstar file itself, as well.
