Madden Generated Draft Classes

Postby pagjame » Sat Jan 21, 2017 4:42 pm

Anyone have any recommendations for editing The Madden generated draft classes... I mean seriously defensive ends with 60 speed and 53 strength.... I really enjoy doing things with fake players with the Madden classes but individually editing these guys sounds like a nightmare... anyone know of a quicker way without globally editing the entire positions and roster files... the real life players would have ridiculous attributes if I did a global edit.. any ideas or help would be great. Still a newbie!

You can make a copy of the franchise file, do global edits in the copied file, export the draft class, then import it to your primary franchise file. That way non-rookies aren't affected by the edits.

Use NZA Edtior 1.3 and go to the draft class tab

From NZA's Franchise Guide:

I recommend heading to the "Misc" tab under the "Draft Class" section of my editor and applying the "Rookie ratings fix". This will "re-shape" the ratings of the class in many areas that I feel creates a far more balanced and realistic class. Once this function is done, head to the "Body" tab still under the "Draft Class" section of the editor and apply the "Body Fix" for ALL players. This will adjust body sized based on weight and height.

That would work, but there's two much simpler ways. 1: Do what was said by GeneralSilent above. 2: There is an option under the position for global edits that says "Rookies Only". But that affects every single position's rookies, which is not likely ideal.

Even better honestly. Thanks a million fellas. I just started really getting annoyed that offensive lineman are an awful lot more athletic as well as defensive ends than what the MGC (Madden Generated Classes) are. It's borderline ridiculous. And furthermore it makes the future other teams rather less competitive as well. Only thing that does worry me is will there be rookies with overall ratings in the 90's? I'm assuming not but I even thought of doing the global rookie edit for LT's and what not by adding 10 points to speed and agility. May be a bit too much but tackles are not in the 50's anymore honestly.

NZA's Editor won't make 90 OVR players, i don't think a madden generated class will ever have one either.

One problem is that Qb's in the draft class are really slow.

I'd give +20 speed to each QB that has <70 speed
+15 Speed to each QB that has >70 speed and<80 speed
+10 Speed to each QB that has >80 speed and <90 speed
+5 Speed to each QB that has >90 speed

I'd say that only 1/50 draft class QBs will have >70 speed to start with, although in the FF XVI roster, almost every younger QB has at least 70 speed

I do that as well. Not to that extreme though. I tend to limit it to +10 for under 80, and either +5 or none for 80 or higher.

Again even better thanks again guys. I need to play around more with the editor than I have been.
