All the tools and utilities except the profile editor and the playbook editors have always worked for me in any windows OS from XP-10...All I had to do was run as admin and in compatibility mode for XP sp3

I'm frustrated that they don't work for me in any OS. Maybe I'll get it figured out soon though.

Do you have a different computer you can use to try them on?

Yes, I do. I might give that a shot.

You have use the db_editor and open up the steameddata.db file...there are tutorials out there if you do a little searching

You cannot load the entire dat file in the dbeditor, it isnt designed for that. You will first need to extract the individual template files from the dat file with JDHalfracks's DFR, then you can load the extracted files with dbeditor.

As weird as this may sound is there any way some files can be copied and pasted on here or PM'd to some of us who are not quite as programming savvy?
