FF/FI mod replacing default playbooks

Postby tob1091 » Sun Aug 15, 2021 10:06 pm

I've recently installed the new FF/FI mod which replaces the default playbooks with the madden 21s. I am currently trying to recover the default playbooks, does anyone know what the default playbook file is called?

Just replace the GAMEDATA.dat file with the backup one included in the mod.

Replacing GAMEDATA.dat does not restore the original playbooks for me. Removing DB_TEMPLATES.dat does, but i dont want to loose all the nice things from that.

DB_TEMPLATES only has the NAMES of the playbooks, not the playbooks themselves. The playbooks' plays are restored when you remove GAMEDATA.

Clearly im not an expert at this. But that is just what im seeing. Im getting a different playbook for the Patriots with DB_TEMPLATES in the Madden folder in My Documents, than without it there. GAMEDATA stays in place. I did replace it with a an updated 2023 DB_TEMPLATES from Rogerjinx, and that seems to have brought it back to functioning the way you describe.

Yes, DB_Templates only holds the name of the playbooks, I only update the salary, schedule here and no way in my opinion can effect they plays like the playbooks in game.
