I have been trying to edit some individual plays in a default playbook and a created playbook. I get to the point where the route for the WR is at its end . The game freezes and crashes.. I have tried Offensive Playbook Editor 2.5, Panfan0820's Offensive Playbook Editor and the in game play editor . They all crash at the same point.
So any help would be appreciated...

I was going to answer to your PM, until my internet connection broke down. I would recommend not editing the routes a lot unless it is REALLY necessary. It would edit similar routes in other plays (Because of the way playbook compression works, a single route is shared by every play with that route. So, editing a slant could edit every other slant in the book.), but it could cause crashes like those you are talking about.
