Can't get custom playbook to work

So I was trying to get the BearsTampa2 playbook found here to work: viewtopic.php?f=15&t=15110

When I replace playbook #36 with it using the guide in this forum and try to use the playbook, the game freezes when the play selection screen should pop up. If I try practise mode the game freezes immediately, and in exhibition game it freezes when I should select a defensive play from the custom playbook. I also tried another custom playbook, the same result.

Anyone have any ideas as to why this happens? I edited the FF-FI XVI GAMEDATA.DAT if that matters.

I just tried with vanilla Madden 08 install, and I get an message saying ''Unable to load playbook. This file may be damaged''. So that's that, I guess.

The file is likely damaged due to a phishing attack last summer.

I remember hearing about that..I'll keep looking for a Cover 2 playbook. If anyone has suggestions, feel free to share. Thanks!
