4 books in and he's already talking about defense??? They are coming, but I can't say when. But if the routes on defense are easy to create as the offensive routes, I should be able to motor through barring minimum issue! If you want to help let me know!

They are relatively simpler than offensive books (There's only 4 zones, plus man coverage) and a lot of plays repeat themselves (Like Cover 2, and Cover 2 Hard Flat, which would be the same thing on 08, the outside CBs on a flat zone). I think I could handle those ...

The Madden 20 defensive schemes and playbooks are deeper and more elaborate formations and zone looks than ever before. The plan I use for offense is, I make route trees/TAG first for each position, then import them into the plays. I'm gonna do that for the defenses as well! also found out that the yds a QB drops back dictates how long he holds the ball. I was testing my pass plays for Bills playbook. I noticed the QB holding the ball too long, no matter what pass I ran. I use the PBE to reduce the number of yds from 3.5 to 1.5, the QB threw the slants and quick hits like he's supposed to now.

The problem with trying to make the defensive playbooks is that you can to translate the about 14 types of zones Madden 20 has, to the 4 zones Madden 08 has, Flat Zone, Hook Zone, Curl Zone and Deep Zone (Which has a few variations. Cover 2 Deep, Cover 3 Deep and Cover 4 Deep). Due to this, some plays would repeat itself. What would be the difference between a "Tampa 2", a "Cover 2" and a "Cover 2 Hard Flat" in M08? Other than the fact that you could assign a Cover 3 Middle Deep Zone to the LB dropping back to cover the Middle of the field, they would be the same thing.

Spoiler:
We've yet to see a QB being as dominant as that future HOFer
And no, not those two. The one I'm talking about already retired ...
We've yet to see a WR being as dominant as that guy that won't make the HOF.

Bus36, your Steelers PB is on the clock! After it's complete, I'm going to do the remaining books by division and not alphabetical! AFC West is next, followed by NFC East, then NFC North, AFC East...

Found some glitches in the Saints book. Pistol Bunch TE HB Zone/Draw QB does not hand the ball off. Gun Doubles Offset HB direct snap, QB gets the snap instead Gun Trey Y Flex Read Option the QB does not hand the ball off. and no receivers to throw to. That is what I have found so far... I am looking through the Pitt book now.

Steelers Playbook 2020:

As far as plays ...I am not to sure where theses came from. Nothing looked like what I have seen in there games. It a very open pass friendly playbook but formations and run pas ratio look off. I will say you did a good job of being very creative with it.

Thanks BUS36, every play and every book come directly from Madden 20 and not my own creations, not one play! Check the link to MaddenFocus.com website! And they are verified through my installed version of Madden 20! I check the formations in-game to get correct formation spacing, timing etc! I'm only re-creating them for the Madden 08 game! And also remember that playbooks in Madden 20 have 350-475 plays each. This version only has 75!
Madden 20 has their run/pass/rpo ratio listed.
Madden 20 Playbook info:
Pittsburgh Steelers: 372 offensive plays, 261 defensive plays - 67% pass/ 28%run / 5%RPO. 17 Gun sets, 9 singleback sets, 2 I-form and 1 Weak wing set. In cpu vs cpu Pitt. book put up 34 against 3-4 Def.

Edit
Real stats:
Pittsburgh Steelers 2019 stat: 5 games, 270 total plays, 95 run plays, 35.2% runs, 175 pass plays, 64.8% passing. Looks pretty darn close to what the game has them Bus36!
