Post deleted?
I thought I had posted something earlier about mass mailing the community but cannot find it. was it deleted?
Re: Post deleted?
I think it has to do with the migration? I have a recent post too that seems to come and go....

....if so, do we repost? Or will the original show backup in a few days when everything is firing on all cylinders?

Some posts could have been left on the other server. If they were extremely important, a PM should be sent to a moderator. If not... feel free to re-post.

Yup, the way a migration goes:
1. Obtain new host... at this point the FI domain points toward the old.
2. New host migrates the site database from the old to the new server by copying it over. Site now exists on the new host although FI domain still leads to the old. By using a direct URL, we visit the new host and check it out to make sure everything transferred OK.
3. We update the DNS entries, telling FI domain to point to new host. This change propagates to servers at ISPs all over the world... some of it updates immediately, other servers may take 24 hours or so to get the change.
4. When DNS is all updated, FI domain leads to the site on its new home.
So, if posts are made between steps 2 and 4, they may be happening on the old server after the database has already been copied to the new. A few posts may therefore be on the old. Possibly, a couple people could have signed up on the old, and have to redo it.
If anything significant was lost on the old server (such as a sizable journal entry) we can probably find the old URL and go get it.

This means the migration is finished?

I wrote a Bills at Patriots post in my journal which seems to have gotten lost. Would be great if you could find that somewhere.

Re: Post deleted?
I made a post with some new uniforms I just made around 2 in the morning. Maybe that's why nobody saw them.

It seems it has reappeared... I'm very confused but not complaining.
Edit: It's gone again. I still have the entire thing saved on my PC so I might just repost it, I guess?
