When you first were on the site, you wouldn't have, if I'm being totally honest. You used to post constantly without reason. You don't do that anymore. And you've never broken any site rules (at least not that I remember.) If you have, please let me know, haha.
Well, what about today? Would I qualify?
I'd vote for you. My $0.02
On the other side of the coin, I'd never want to moderate a forum based on something I was passionate about. Bender in the Futurama episode Godfellas is a pretty good example of why.
Completely unrelated, anyone remember back when Operation Sports was a decent website? I have no idea how it could be done on a phpBB website, but I loved the idea of the OVR rating and the user's Card. If we could implement something here it would be neat.
But also, OS sucks.
My M08 mod work is all open-source to anyone who wants to use it in any way, no restrictions or permissions necessary.

I'm not familiar with how their system works, but if the OVR rating has anything to do with judging a member's contributions, or something like that, I'd be completely against it. We already have a ranking system based on post count, and I feel that's more than enough.

A cesspit. They've had site issues for a couple years now. Stuff is broken. Mods are fascist ban-hammerers. I think EA has employees that run moderator accounts there. Lots of inconvenient things happen regularly.
Plus part of the previous EA Sports creative team was hired from the site. Including that former employee who got drunk and went twitter postal.

Here... we try to be understanding. We're very quick to lock topics based around politics, or if there's any mudslinging, insults, or attacks on beliefs, but we only ban if a user has either repeated offenses or very severe offenses. That doesn't happen often. We'd much rather issue warnings and help people better understand the site rules.

I don't know if our forums could use an overall rating program, but even if it could, I'd be against it. User reputations are developed by what they contribute, share, and discuss. Each person has a chance to contribute, and it shouldn't be enhanced or restricted by any special ratings.

Re: Current Moderators and the Future
I'd love to be the troubleshooting forum moderator lol as I'm not skilled in modding like some of our fellow members. However, I enjoy helping people get the game or the mod to run smoothly on newer OS's. I hope this site stays up for at least another 10 years! It's very refreshing to see how the mod team breathes new life into an old product like M08. It also sure beats dropping $60-70 on a glorified roster update for the consoles every year.....lol
For help running madden please consult my guide and posts from fellow users here....thanks! (link below) viewtopic.php?f=22&t=17907
I'm not on site much, so if I don't respond it's b/c I haven't checked in a while.

It's too bad you don't play MVP Baseball 2005 (unless you do.) Not only can I not get it to work on Windows 7 (which most people can), but I can't even get it to work in a Windows XP virtual machine.
