Be a member of the forum for a LONG time, contribute many meaningful things to the forum over a long period of time, show solid understanding of the site rules, and then wait out a lot of conversation between current moderators, and the user must be unanimously approved. We also only add moderators when we feel one is really necessary, and only if a current moderator suggests that member.

While I do feel honored that ThePurplePeopleEater feels I should be a mod, I've been on the site for maybe 2 years. That's nothing. I don't know what other qualities are needed, but 2 years is nothing...

I totally should be a mod. I've been here for 5 years.

As Revan said, we will only add moderators when we feel it is necessary. Right now, there is no need for more moderators - we have 8 mods and an Administrator. That's more than enough for a small site like this.

And one of the current moderators would have to put your name up if we were looking for new moderators.

Ya'll realize I was being sarcastic right? I doubt I'll ever be a mod because I make I lost of irrelevant posts.

Sorry, I should have figured that, but there's no sarcasm tag, so it can be hard to detect sarcasm on the Internet...

I seriously agree with you. I've actually wondered in the past why you haven't been made a moderator already.

That's because you only look at the number of posts and nothing else. Doesn't mean to offend anybody, just saying.. Few posts above Dancat explained very clearly everything.
