Reordering Draft Picks to Simulate NCAAF

Postby rahien.din » Sun Sep 03, 2017 6:07 pm

For those of us who mostly play the NCAA-modded version of Madden, the NFL-style draft protocol doesn't make much sense. For better or for worse, in college football the rich get richer and the poor get poorer. I created a procedure that ensures just that. This makes for a more realistic dynasty-building experience.

You will need Xanathol's Madden Roster Editor and my spreadsheet. The basic process is :

1. Open your franchise in MRE.
2. In the Draft section, click on "Picks"
3. Click Export, and save your picks as a .dpk file
4. Open this file, which contains two tab-delimited columns. The left column is team ID's, and the right column is pick number. Select and copy all this data.
5. Open my spreadsheet, and paste the data into the columns beside the "Original" label.
6. Copy the columns beside the "Reranked" label.
7. Past these values into a new Notepad file, and name it "fixed.dpk"
8. Return to the draft picks window in MRE and click Import. Select fixed.dpk.

I'm happy to email you the spreadsheet. Or, if anyone knows a good way to link to or post a spreadsheet, let me know.
