Head Coach Career DB Spliter
============================
The Career file is made up of five DB files that need to be split into their own DB files to be editable by DB editors and then put back together.
Extract the contents of zip file inside the Career[x] folder.
1. Use "splitCareer.exe" to split the Career[x] file.
Career[x]_Options1.db
Career[x]_Options2.db
Career[x]_Savedile.db
Career[x]_OffPB.db
Career[x]_DefPB.db
2. Edit the split Career[x]_[db].db files with a db editor.
3. Drag and Drop the Career[x] file into the "CompileCareer.cmd".
A Career[x]tmp will be created.
Backup original Career[x] file.
Rename Career[x]tmp to original Career[x] file name.
Special thanks to Stingray68 for the source code. Code will probably need to be tweaked in the future.

Thank you for your work on this.
An absolutely masterful game. Just a complete shame EA won't dive into this pond again. Hands down their best franchise/gm mode.

With this tool I've broken new ground on editing playbooks and using NZA's editor for NFL Head Coach 06, hopefully I'll be able to integrate my new M08 playbooks into HC06 soon. If so, I'll be modding that game full time.

For some reason after making any changes the game won't load the career file. I get a "Failed to load career file" error. It works fine to edit and view the contents but not for plugging back into the file and then the game.

Would have to look into that. Like what kind of changes are we talking about?
If you're trying to import an M08 file you're very likely to encounter errors since M08 and Head Coach are two different games. Try importing a few players at a time to see if there are problematic edits .

Any changes at all really, even just simple attribute editing. I split a career file then recompiled it immediately and it wouldn't load in game afterwards.
