Is he in the injury list in you FRANCHISE file if you open it in NZA? If he is, delete it. If you only delete it in the ROSTER file, it wont have any effect in your FRANCHISE. I think he's current team in the ROSTER is TGID 40 (Reserved. I think)..so he wont be carried to your FRANCHISE.

you may have to manually search for shead, i tried using the search function for him on nza's editor and it didn't detect him, but he was indeed on one of the teams,practice squad i think

Are you playing franchise and beyond the 1st season? You shouldnt have many players in PS during the off-season or they will take the slots of FA first. I dont have that much FAs in any event. 420 is ideal.

Yes I am, it is PS in the game, I will check the editor for PS and delete them, it is showing the Free Agents in the Editor.
