Roger already fixed that, or at least he said he did. Make sure you have the most recent version of his DB_TEMPLATES.

Yes I have fixed this 2 weeks ago or so. We should have 17 regular weeks with the last week consisting of 32 games instead of 16 games. You should get the latest DB_Templates.

Bro. He is really busy at the moment with family, job, and school. Why don't you do what I do, get he latest roster and do it yourself. It's easy. Just use NZA Madden Editor 1.3 and AMP 4.5. I did it and my Week 1 is in the books. What's cool is I always change it Week to week to match the rosters and depth in real life for my Podcast. It was freaking hard to get a tie for the Colts and Texans. So I will do that game last tonight after the Bucs and Boys so it will show in the standings as such.

Version 1 has been uploaded last week. Check the first post.

Edit: I have updated the transaction date. It should be Sept 3 not May 3 lol

Be gentle with me I'm old and not sure what I'm doing.
First, thank you for this roster. I cannot imagine how much time and effort went into making this.
Second, I have switched salary cap off but every good player on every non-user controlled team in franchise mode is released after the first season.
I don't know but I suspect the high salaries of 2022 wreck the economy of 2007. Is there a way to make teams keep their good players?
Give them 200 mil from TV revenue or just increasing base revenue of all teams so their cash on hand isn't negative.
I know you must have spent a lot of time putting real numbers and real player contracts in but if I had to chose unreal salaries vs having all the best players released I'm going to not care about salaries.
Is there something I can do? A setting I can toggle on or off? Is this even the right place to ask this question?
I love football and I'm an idiot, please help.

Only thing I was able to do was lower the contracts until the team kept the players. It's a long process but in the end is more accurate to reality than what we get in the game.

Hey, I only adjusted the salary cap and player salaries. I will try some methods to solve this especially the revenue the teams receive in franchise mode. I reckon, those figures are still based from 2007.

I imagine that info is somewhere in DB_TEMPLATES. If you find it and change it, once you've tested to confirm it's working, send me the CSVs for any tables you edit, please.
