XBoxOne Controller with PC

My nephew torpedoed my last good 360 controller.

Read that XOne controllers work with Win7 with the new XBox wireless dongle.

.. well, it works via USB. The dongle reads the controller, and shows in Windows, and has the appropriate drivers, but it won't show in Madden. Only shows in Madden on USB.

Anyone had any success with these? Don't really care to hunt for a 360 controller unless I have to.

(I could also go the PS4 route..)
